Amazing...that was my day today!
1. I spent the whole day with my bestest friend, Sylvia. We haven't spent nearly enough time together lately & it was wonderful to catch up, tell stories, gossip & laugh a little!
2. I ate Chinese food. P.F. Changs has some killer lettuce wraps...yummy!
3. I cruised around NorthPark Center and did a bit of shopping.
4. I went to the most amazing exhibit. Body Worlds is a traveling exhibit by Gunther Van Hagen of real human bodies preserved through a process called 'plastination.' If you have the opportunity to go...I highly recommend it. Believe me, you have never seen anything like it. I always knew the human body was amazing in function & structure but to see the anatomy presented in this way left me speechless. {and you know that is hard to do!} The above photo was just one of the displays we saw today...the skeletal system & the muscular system from the same cadaver. The plastinates were positioned in the most creative, thought provoking ways. We saw cross sections and examples of every single organ in the body...a uterus with an IUD in place, gallstones, a smokers lungs, enlarged heart, kidney's, joint replacements and a plastinate of a woman eight months pregnant with the fetus still inutero. I must warn you however that this exhibit is not for the squeamish. {notice I went with Sylvia...not Brian! :) He gets pale and sweaty just discussing medical procedures!}
5. I feel blessed.

Hi, The display sounds awesome, wish I could have seen it. Know what you mean about Brian, ask him about Mrs. Brown's science class sometime! :P Love Mom Garner
