{ Happy Nurses' Week }

Florence Nightingale
1820-1910

National Nurses' Week is May 6-12

{Why May you ask? May 12 is actually Flo's birthday}
Florence Nightingale is known as the pioneer of modern nursing.

Florence is the "Lady with the Lamp." Many institutions still use the image of the lamp as a symbol of nursing excellence.

There are 2.9 million registered nurses in the United States. In the year 2020 it is anticipated that there will be a shortage of 800,000 nurses!

I'm not sure who started the whole "naughty nurse" thing...however... I'm certain that I have never, ever, in life, came home from a 12 hour shift looking like this!

I have the pleasure of working with & learning from the best of the best.

Happy Nurses' Week to all the nurses in my life!
