Brian and I left my sisters' home in the early evening, hoping to make headway on the long drive back to Texas. We went south for awhile then took a county road back to the west...over a couple of hills, down a couple valleys. We crested a hill and Brian says to me..."what the heck is that?" Well, my friends...even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile! We stumbled upon Indianola's annual hot air balloon festival! OMG...a photographers dream! We hung around until dusk to witness the 'night glow' ~ amazing. I am hoping to make a SmugMug gallery just for this event...we have a ton of wonderful photos!

Beautiful - we are seriously considering heading to Albuquerue for a vacation. They have a huge hot air balloon contingent there.
You should have ridden in one!
