spring in the lens

Last week we had a short glimpse of spring 'round these parts and we seized the opportunity to enjoy the weather, have a tall cold one and use our fancy pants grill.  The grill came with the house as it is 'plumbed' with gas into the deck.  The fancy grill is way bigger than necessary for two measly little chickens - but might come in handy this summer grilling for more than just two!

BSG was testing out his new Minolta 50mm lens.  I have my sights set on it as I love to shoot in macro and this lens give an interesting aperture.  Can't wait for the spring blooms so that I will have some interesting subjects to practice on!
