Ice Cream Social | Birthday

On Saturday we celebrated my birthday with an old fashioned ice cream social. I had fun planning this little wing ding ... food and games and FUN! Having lived in Texas for the past 10 years and having an August birthday meant no family birthday parties ... because no sane person goes to Hades Texas in August on purpose!  :)

Thank goodness there is no furniture in the parlor, because it was the perfect indoor venue for playing with the Limbo stick, doing the chicken dance and cracking at the cone shaped (of course) Pinata! There was quiet the frenzy when the 3lbs of candy dropped!

The day was chuck full of activities and food!

We packed up the kiddos and chilled at the pool

and enjoyed chicken k-bobs from the grill & (my favorite) party potatoes!

We had fun with rock star glasses and fake moustaches!
