Blah...Blah....Blah...Blog...

Hi ho! The weather in North Texas is simply miserable...temps in the 30's with rain, rain and more rain. I know my rain gauge is full but I do not have the energy or desire to run out and empty it. We need the rain however & I am glad to have it...things were so dry this past summer I was worried we would loose Bailey in the huge cracks in the back yard and our front lawn totally died....guess we will deal with that this spring....along with the piles of dirt left over from having our house leveled. { Its a Texas thing...foundation problems resulting from drought and soil made up mostly of clay. } This sort of weather makes me thankful for a day that I can just hole up in the house & do nothing...which is precisely what I have been doing....nothing! Okay, it is hard for me to do completely nothing...just small tasks with frequent rest periods! :) Ha! Currently I am on a mission to minimize...I've tackled the pantry and kitchen....the spare bedroom & our closet are next on the hit list. Amazing how much "stuff" you accumulate and do not really need. I've listed 12 items on Ebay [click the link to see my garage sale items] to help the process along...hopefully I can make a couple of bucks that way...win win situation...clear clutter & make bucks! What a deal! I have a wood quilt rack {one with the heart cut outs on the sides...circa 1990...just need some doilies to complete the look, huh, Betsy?} whose fate I'm considering...any one interested shoot me an email, otherwise I'm thinking Goodwill.... I should be scrap booking...just having a real hard time "getting into it" lately. I get out a project, look at the stuff, move paper around a bit & feel totally uninspired and sit back down on the sofa. I have tons of work to do on Jacob's book...don't worry little guy, I'll have it done by the time your able to read! With Emma & Madie's books I kept up really well....don't know what happened. Humph. I'm watching Iowa State play KSU....the boys are having a hard time keeping up....basketball just doesn't really "do" it for me...I miss football. Enough rambling for now...I'm bored, so I might be back!
