I'm alive....

Hello again...wow, my last post was weeks ago...I really am alive!
I have sat down to blog on several occasions, but the words just would not come...so rather than make something up...I just gave up.
~ We did our duty as Americans and had our taxes done...Uncle Sam showed mercy on us this year and we are expecting a nice refund. We finally found the right formula on our W2's ... several years ago I had to have a melt down at the CPA's office because we owed a ridiculous amount of money.
~ Friday we partied! We started out the night by celebrating with our friends John & Sylvia. John made partner in his law firm in a record 5 years...so drinks were on him! :) Next on the agenda was Adair's Saloon in downtown Dallas' Deep Ellum. This little bar was jam packed with people to see one of our favorite local country bands called Speedtrucker. The band is officially broke up but gather on special occasions... they play a fast, furious crazy mix of Merle, Waylon, Elvis and the Stones.

~ A girl cannot go to the honkytonk with out new kickers... I bought these Vintage Justin boots on a whim!

~ I washed Brian's cell phone with the jeans this week....Whoops! Needless to say... it no longer works. His new phone { in cornhusker red } came in the mail today, I was impressed with the speedy replacement service.

~ Tomorrow I renew my NRP {Neonatal Resuscitation} Certification ... I spent 3 hours today reviewing the textbook & DVD.

~ Thursday is Big Bri's birthday.... #33 !

Hello,
I sent our taxes in to the CPA too but haven't heard back yet...here's to hoping Uncle Sam has mercy on us as well! Sounds like you had a great time out on the town...Congrats to John!!! Mark's Aunt Karen washed her cell phone last week too. Bummers. However, this the new one that she had just gotten because she ran over the one before that! (somehow). Good luck on the NRP test. My NRP expires this month. Ooopsy! And Happy Birthday to Bri!!!! I will have to call later in the week. Happy Valentine's Day!
Love,
Betsy
