Monday: We were in the car most of the day & strange things start to happen when you are cozy in a small car with four crazy minded friends! I dubbed the day " Free Association Monday" because the segways between conversations were random & goofy! In New England many towns have this crazy street thing called a rotary...not something we are used to. Every time we got into one of these damn things, someone, usually Brian or Sylvia, would say....."Big Ben. Parliament." {a quote from the most intelligent movie ever made, National Lampoons European Vacation}
Along the Cape we stopped off in the quaint little town of Chatham, MA for some shopping. Even in the rain, the main street was warm & charming. Syl & I were pleased to find some of these with our names on them! :)
The path to Three Sisters...
Three Sisters light houses. Michelle, Angie & Betsy! Ha!
The Three Sisters used to sit along the coastline, however, due to cliff side erosion the sisters were moved in order to preserve them.
Nauset Beach Light Highland (Cape Cod) Light
We climbed a spiral staircase with 69 very narrow steps to the top of the Highland Light. The views were amazing! The bulb used inside this tower is no bigger than a night light! Amazing.
Quote of the day: "The oxen is slow, but the ground is patient."
