Hello friends. I really have nothing new, exciting or earth shattering to share with you; at least not yet!!! Both BSG and I worked the weekend. The NICU is experiencing a low census which means cancelling nurses OR floating to another unit. Eeek! Floating strikes fear in the hearts of many...no one I know enjoys this, least of all me! I had a sneaky suspicion that my number was up. When I arrived Sunday morning there it was...the dreaded yellow post-it note on the time clock: "Michelle G. to NBN" Shit. Off I went to the land of chaos. Babies everywhere...all lined up in their bassinets, all screaming.
I broke out in hives...
Then I remembered, I remembered the crisp morning air of autumn in New England. The orange, yellow and red of turning leaves. The rugged coast lined with light houses.
With that memory the chorus of screaming babies just didnt seem to matter as much...after all, it was only twelve hours, I can do anything for twelve hours, right? We are preparing for another big adventure, back to New England. We are so excited to experience autumn temps and immerse ourselves in color! I hope to fill the flash card with incredible photos and bring you along on the adventure with updates from the road!
Stay tuned!

Now, if I can do L & D you can do NBN! I am with Besty. It could be worse, you are bigger and older than them, just whip them into shape!
