they say...

What does not kill you, will make you stronger.  That is what *they* say.  Who *they* are, I'm not really sure.  You ponder that life changing question for a minute, and I'll fill you in on the latest 'round here.  It has been like Grand Central Station this week, and I'm not even kidding.  Or exaggerating, like I sometimes do.  ;)  The phone has been ringing off the hook and I have had appointments double booked.  The minute ink dried on our approval paperwork things started moving, and fast.  I realized at the beginning of this process that the majority of the 'work' would fall to me...and I am okay with that.  I am motivated, willing and able.

The moving company came to evaluate our household items, estimate the number of boxes and truck space that will be needed to move us.  It was estimated that we have 8-10,000 lbs of stuff.  Really?!  The guy walked through the house, looked in closets and drawers, made a few hash marks on his paper and voila! I have no earthly idea how he did it...probably experience + math. I'm terrible at math.

The house has been thoroughly inspected...general home inspection, roof, foundation and termite, with a pending chimney inspection. Good grief this is a beating - nuff said.

I have been savoring every opportunity to spend time with friends.  Typically this involves yummy food and drink...I'll weigh 1,000 lbs by the time I leave Texas at this rate!

In other news, I have acquired an Iphone and I am quite smitten. Silly, right?  Silly to be smitten with a phone?  Probably.  But this thing is ahhmazing! I've been calling it 'apple crack' because it is that addicting!  :)

I usually have to do all the relo stuff, too. PITA. Daren is only involved when an employee signature is needed. ;)

I think our last move was 14000 lbs. As the movers said: "We are house light and garage heavy." I wonder who the packrat is.

I think those that say that have never endured too much. My husband and I are in the process of a move and I can relate to all that you are going through. Good luck!
