christmas | 2010

Christmas in Iowa was a white winter wonderland -
truly one of life's simple pleasures.
The moment I stepped outside, the moment my feet crunched in the snow,
the moment I took a deep breath of frosty air...my heart was content.
I was home for Christmas and surrounded by God's richest blessings.

Not all of my blessings are quiet and serene....
Miss Madie with her new Barbie - what little girl doesn't love a new Barbie
What auntie could resist those freckles?

Once Matthew opened this toy gun + holster,
the party was over - no need for more gifts -
according to him, he had received the best
gift, EVER!

Ryan was all talk about tractors and car washes.
Yup, the kid is in love with the car wash.
He has the most expressive, mischievous, brown eyes.

Jacob & his pal Rupert.
His pre-school self seems so grown up and yet so
innocent and little at the same time.

In the middle of the gift frenzy, Emma lost a tooth!
Her uncles tried to help her with the extraction,
but she wasn't buying it!

This is a simple snapshot, a moment in time, a small glimpse of what happy craziness looks like!
Speaking of crazy...maybe more coffee is not what Uncle Mark needs?
