crown of passion

Today I purchased a cross to wear as an outward symbol
of my love and belief in Him.

Crown of Passion

I thought this information from James Avery regarding the cross was very interesting, it was included with my purchase....

"Several hundred versions of the cross have existed throughout the centuries; it is one of the most universal symbols of all time. Only about fifty different forms of the cross have been used extensively be Christians. Among these are the Greek cross, with arms of equal length; the Latin cross, which is the form on which Christ was crucified and is the most widely used; and the Crucifix, which supports a figure of either the crucified or risen Christ. Early Christians believed the cross was a sign of sorrow and suffering and hesitated to use it as a symbol of their faith. But through His death on the cross, Jesus rose triumphant, forever the victor over sin and death. The cross stands for his everlasting love for us. And while it does remind us of His sacrifice, it is through His death that we can live with Him forever. In this sense, the cross is a glorious symbol of redemption, new life and hope. "
