a wonderful visit....

My parents were here for a couple of days this week
and although I do not have very many pictures to document it...we had lots of fun!
{JJB and RWB are so much cuter at the park than Dad! ;0 }
Hello road trip. We packed up & headed over to Strawn, Tx. home of Mary's Cafe. Mom & Dad special requested a visit to Mary's after seeing an episode of Texas Country Reporter {because if Bob Phillips says it's good...it's good.} The boys enjoyed their Chicken Fried Steak + Gravy. Mom innocently ordered a cheeseburger. I had the beef nachos. The first hint that this was no ordinary burger should have been the disclaimer on the menu that said all burgers required extra cooking time. Indeed. Mom got a burger bigger than her head! Oh my gosh...this thing must have been a pound of hamburger, measuring at least 2 inches thick and as big around as a 10 inch plate! Brian said..."now I can appreciate a big burger, but that is ridiculous!" If you leave hungry from Mary's it is your own darn fault! After such a feast we needed to stretch a bit, So we peeked into the windows at Robinson Schoolhouse.

You ask, what else did we do? We laughed. Drank beer. Walked with Tanner. Enjoyed the perfect weather. Shopped. Chased trains. Watched airplanes take off & land. Played disc golf. Ate. Ate some more. Told stories. Watched movies. Watched Jerry. Had Dairy Queen...and enjoyed every minute!
