The hot water heater is leaking, onto my brand new carpet.
Oh yeah; I am one happy camper.
Why on earth would you build a house with the
furnace & water heater in the hallway?

Our hot water heater in SA was in the attic. ;) It did have a spill pan and pipe to the outside if it overflowed.
Not having a basement is a problem, isn't it?

In California - they put the hot water heater, the washer and dryer and sometimes the furnace too - out in the garage...no wonder everyone parks in the driveway!
