wheels in motion

This was the sight out my front door-
evening light, puffy clouds, a lone kite.
I'm going to buy a kite.
I'm going to fly kites with my nieces & nephews.
I'm going to make up for lost time.
I'm going to make memories.
Proof that there is still good in the world.
90 calorie Snickers ice cream bars...
Cold, nutty, melty goodness!
Relocation Update:  We have received the 'GO' from the tower!!!
July 21st we learned BSG's release date...July 30th.
Really, REALLY?
Nine, 9, NINE days notice!
We are gaining speed down the runway.
The wheels are in motion.
We have our seat belts on low and tight.
My type A personality is kicking into full gear...
This requires lists, my friends, multiple lists!

yada, yada, yada

Good gravy, is it hot.  According to the weather map, we are not the only ones in the pressure cooker. I hope I can manage to keep my plants alive at least until we sell the house.  I am hesitant to loiter in the yard too long watering as it seems I am the perfect evening snack for skeeters & chiggers!  Those darn chiggers are like nothing I have ever experienced - put you in the loony bin kind of itch!
Tanner and I ran into Mr fatty-fat-fat golden retriever and his poor excuse for an owner again tonight.  I filed ANOTHER report with the city.
This infuriates me to no end.
Are my subliminal messages working?
What's that you say?  You're still hot?
Yeah, me too.

I am loving the ABC show, Boston Med

I've been busy at the sewing machine.  I used this tutorial as my guide and altered it a bit to suit my liking.  Thankfully this pattern does not include a zipper.  Zippers strike fear in the heart of many a seamstress.  Far be it for me, a novice, to assume I could tackle such a feat!  ;)

Relocation update:  We are in our seats.  We have closed the cabin doors. We are in line on the tarmac.  We are patiently waiting for the  'go ahead' from the tower...

HURRY UP | and wait

Isn't that just how life is? You rush around, hustle & bustle only to wait.

I am not known for my patience...Mom used to sing a jingle to us er, me, when I was little about having patience.  Brian loves to remind me of this and asks me to sing the song on the rare occasions that I am being impatient.  I would say that I have a type A,  'drive thru' personality...I want to place my order, drive ten feet and pick it up!
I've been thinking a lot lately about patience...or the apparent lack there of.

"Learn the art of patience. Apply discipline to your thoughts when they become anxious over the outcome of a goal. Impatience breeds anxiety, fear, discouragement and failure. Patience creates confidence, decisiveness, and a rational outlook, which eventually leads to success."

~Brian Adams
